My Braun bean grinder is making funny noises after about 15 years of grinding my beans about 4 times a week. The machine makes a little noise when chopping, but gives great results. I was relieved that I could still purchase the same model today. I just placed my order. Also works well for nuts and herbs. Glad to see one manufacturer sticking with a winner.
When we called the company they said they didn't make them anymore but that some stores might still have stock. This is a Great coffee grinder, inexpensive and durable. My sister and I had one for 10 years and it finally broke. I went on Amazon.com and found the exact same brand and make at Goodman's. Thank you Amazon.com, Thank you Goodman's for having the product we needed.
I received the coffee grinder in about a week. It works even better than the same model that I replaced. I am totally satisfied.
Its starting to wear out now - seems to stutter on occasion, but most of the time its still fine - so I'm glad this model is still available. I bought my first one (it was red) sometime back in the 1980s. I expect I'll be replacing it soon. A roommate took it with him when he moved out, so I replaced it with a white one sometime around 1997. We drink a lot of coffee and probably use it between 4-7 times per week. And in fact, this grinder is what originally started me on the road to becoming a Braun tools fan, not just for kitchen tools, but anything motorized. For me, the name Braun indicates intelligent designs (with a particular purpose in mind) and durability.
I read oodles of reviews before opting for the Braun, and couldn't wait to try it as soon as it arrived. I ground up some flax seed & found it super-easy to use (a no-brainer), quick, and yielding an even fine grind. Oh, yes--easy to clean, too--and the hide-away cord and small size are pluses in my super-small kitchen.
